Groups and parties ยท Twin Waters Resort

The ultimate outdoor kids birthday party on the Sunshine Coast

Turn screen time into real-life gaming. Safe, high-energy tactical gel blasting and outdoor games at Twin Waters Resort.

Up to 10 players$650
Duration3 hrs
AgesAll ages

The gel blaster party is the one children ask for by name, and the one parents book again the following year. Two hours of fully hosted tactical gameplay across our custom battlefields, then a full hour in the private party zone for cake, food and the retelling. You share the field with whoever else is on that day - add your own referee and half the field for $150 if you would rather not.

It works because the gel is water-based. It bursts on impact, the sting is slight, and it dries instead of staining - so a party of ten eight-year-olds goes home damp and delighted rather than covered in paint. That is also why it suits mixed groups where some children are keen and some are nervous.

Our staff run the entire session: the safety brief, the safety-glasses rule, the game formats and the rotation. You are not refereeing. You are not organising. You are, at most, holding a cake.

  • Gels are non-toxic and water-hydrated. They burst on impact with minimal sting.
  • A professional host referees every round and controls the start and stop of play.
  • Enclosed shoes are mandatory. Comfortable outdoor clothing, and long sleeves if your child is sensitive to the sting.
  • Spectators enter free - watch from the viewing area, or join in at the player rate.
  • Nothing to clean up afterwards: gel is water-based, so clothing dries rather than stains.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early so the group can be fitted and briefed without eating into play.

Add a BBQ to the party hour and cook on site. The BBQ area is not exclusive - at peak times another group may be using it too. It is a big space, so in practice everyone gets on with their own cooking. The easiest way to feed a group without organising catering.

Questions

Kids' party FAQ

What should kids wear to a gel blaster party?
Enclosed shoes and comfortable outdoor clothing are required. We supply the safety glasses and all the gel blaster gear. Long sleeves are worth considering for children sensitive to the sting.
Is gel blasting safe for younger kids?
Yes. Gel blasters fire non-toxic, water-hydrated gels that burst on impact with minimal sting. Our professional hosts referee every round and make sure safety glasses stay on at all times.
Are parents and spectators allowed?
Spectators enter free. Parents can watch from the viewing area, or play at the same rate as the kids - which is the more popular option than you would expect.
What does the party cost?
$650 for the package, which covers up to 10 players. Additional players are $65 each.
How long does the party run?
Three hours in total: two hours of hosted gameplay, then one hour at the party tables for cake and food.
What is the minimum age?
There isn't one - the party is all ages. Adults can and do join in, at the same rate.
How many kids can we have?
Up to 25. The package covers 10 and extra players are $65 each - a party of 14 is $910.
Do we need to bring anything?
The cake, enclosed shoes on every child, and insect repellent. Everything else is here.
When do parties run?
Saturdays at 10am or 1pm and Sundays at 10am. The 1pm Saturday party plays in the public session.
